One step closer to making some releases.

As it turned out several weeks ago, many of us developers at PPP have been working on side projects. Not in the sense that counters or supports PPP but that we have been doing these to further learn new technologies or hone our existing ones. Unfortunately concerns arose and PPP as a company needed to address this.

Today we developers had our first chance to sit down with Ted and Pete in a meeting in which we presented these projects. They ranged from my Yahoo widget to a full blown web app. I’m a little miffed that Ted turned my widget around completely to help support marketing, but that where the trade off is; Posties get a usable widget for opportunity monitoring and PPP attracts a few more people.

I won’t go into specific details at the moment in repect to both PPP and the respective authors of the projects. I will say that it is close to the time where PPP announces a very good ancillary feature. This feature will not only support PPP and my fellow code ninjas but also the postie developer community as well.

So just hang tight for a few more days, and trust me I’m bursting at the seems to get this going. If PPP doesn’t make a big announcement about the new feature, I will when it goes live so stay tuned.

Where did the week go?

Man it’s been a wild trip the past two weeks. Just alone work, the commute and school kept me pinned down to late nights and early rising. To top it off we also moved last weekend. If you could bank time I would be in debt.

Luckily this is week four in school with one more week to go! This week’s subject is marketing and advertising. I found out last night that if I take the approach of the subject and apply my experience with internet marketing/advertising strategies I had quite a lot to say. I’ll definitely be glad to be out of this class though.

The new house is awesome! Now every kid has a room, Rai and I have three, plus Rai gets an office and I have my own office. Coincidently my office is the furthest from the main living areas; something to do with how loud I play my music ;). Doesn’t figure. Still lot’s of unpacking to do though so more withdrawls from the time bank.
