Ho Hum Sunday
It’s one of those blah days today. I can’t seem to get excited about anything to do so I thought it was time to update the blog with a week in review. It really has been a long week so I can certainly dump a few things here.
I started the second week of classes this week. Since I’ve never posted about it, I’m taking IT classes at the University of Phoenix online to receive my Bachelors degree. Each class term is five weeks long and you definately have to concentrate and organize your time to fulfill the homework and attendance policies each week.
The class this time is Business Management. Not really into it as I have no interest in it. Oh well it’s good information and I’ll get through it as usual. I checked today and my next class is Web I and that I can really get into.
At PPP I’ve been working on the fanschwiddle project as described by Pete http://blog.payperpost.com/2007/04/super-cool-amazing-new-feature.html and it’s coming along nicely. Of course we thought we (three other developers on this) were done until we presented to Ted. He added some new functionalities so it’s back to being half way done. All very good new additions and one that I can really appriciate as well.
I didn’t really want to start a new widget until the Yahoo one was released but that one is currently in revision 3 of graphics and I couldn’t work on it this weekend so I decided to take the chance and start a WordPress plug-in for the posties. Since I’ve never built a plug in yet for WP it all came together unbelievably quick in two days. It’s also really awesome for running the affiliate tools for posties.
I sent an email to Ted asking permission to release the plug in. Since I’m doing these on my time and not being paid by PPP I probably could release without permission. But because I do work for PPP I probably should ask for permission. I’ll err on the side of not getting my butt in the slinger.
Other than that I just looked at furniture prices as we are moving this week with the brunt of it next weekend. Continued to re-factor some code for another web app I’m running. Did some homework.
